This week the show kicks off the new year with news on three new WoW podcasts and Rho interviews Jeppy to discuss a new beginning for the WoWcast show itself.

  1. Personally I feel that content is coming a little to quick. I don’t think its fair to compare past patch cycles with MOP because so many things have been changed. For example we have loads of new content (pet battles, scenarios, raid finder, challenge modes) and the raiding content was released in stages. It took 2 months for all raid content to become available.

I think content releases should be based on the number of people who have seen it. Blizzard has internal data so they know how many people have killed bosses, completed raids etc… Time is such an arbitrary reason to base releases on. However we know that Blizzard factors many things in when deciding when to release content, such has what other games / expansions etc… are being released.

Undoubtably my view point is biased as my guild is yet to return to raiding so far and I would like to see current content before the Throne of Thunder is released. Only time will tell.

  2. I really enjoyed the interview with Jeppy. His comment on “notoriety” in podcasting really touched a nerve. I may have to discuss this on an upcoming episode of Bitter and Salty. I can always count on Jeppy to get my juices flowing!

    Another show well done, Rho!
